‘Language of Contracts’ workshops

If you need to learn in detail about the style of written contracts, how to understand and recognize various types of contract clauses in English, how to relate them to contract clauses in Polish this workshop is for you:
- 6 hour workshop – divided into three 90-minute sessions
- small groups – around eight lawyers per group
- held at our training Centre or on client premises
- aimed at advanced (C1) learners of English
- ideal for lawyers practising English and dealing with contracts in English at work
The workshop covers the following aspects:
- The style of written contracts: legalese vs plain English words, modal verbs, collocations, phrasal verbs and prepositions, important technical and commercial words etc.
- Introduction to most common boilerplate and contractual clauses (i.e. liquidated damages clauses, confidentiality clauses, restrictive covenants, law and jurisdiction, termination)
